“Struggling”- Klopp reveals £180,000-a-week Liverpool star is not happy at the club

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Fabinho is not happy that he is not always in the starting lineup.

Liverpool and Brazil defensive midfielder, Fabinho is struggling for form at the moment, according to Klopp.

The £180,000-a-week (SalarySport) 29-year-old has to fight his way back into the team, the Liverpool manager stated.

Klopp said about Fabinho: “We don’t have arguments on the training ground or anything. If you think that, that is not the case at all.

“He knows he’s not flying and he has to work his way back. That’s how it is. It’s now really helpful we have Stefan [Bajcetic] because he’s doing really well.

“In this position, you need a guy who wins challenges, who protects everybody, but who plays football as well. It’s really important and for plenty of years, [Fabinho has been] the best in that position for a long time.

“At the moment, it’s not clicking and that’s true as well, you have to go through that. He’s not the happiest person on the planet but he understands the decision.”

The former Monaco midfielder is having a disappointing season, but let us not forget that the former AS Monaco star is only 29 now.

Now, of course, Klopp has to drop the Brazilian for the benefit of the team, but if the defensive midfielder works hard in training and then gets his chance, then he has to make the most of it.

Fabinho has made 14 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season.

The Brazilian has made five starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for the Merseyside club so far this campaign.
