Liverpool set to sign perfect Fabinho replacement for just £26.5m, he could join in January
Liverpool could now sign Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram for just £26.5m this month, according to FootballTransfers.
According to the report, the Ligue 1 club hope to keep hold of the 21-year-old until the summer, but it is said that an offer around the £26-27m region would be enough to allow him to leave in January.
An earlier report states that the Reds have already held talks with the player over a prospective move.
Thuram has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United, but nothing has come to fruition involving either side.
With an obvious need for midfield additions in the current transfer window, Liverpool fans would likely take anyone at the moment.
However, it appears Thuram could be a fantastic option for both the present and the future – with FootballTransfers suggesting he could be Fabinho’s long-term replacement in defensive midfield.
Therefore, with Liverpool’s need for reliable players in the middle of the park, it appears the youngster could potentially be Anfield bound this month.
Thuram has played in every single Ligue 1 and Europa Conference League fixture for Nice this season.
At age 21, it seems the Frenchman would be the best fit for Liverpool, who need to add a reliable player to their lineup in the middle of the park.
