This information is provided by Fichajes (via Football365), which states that it might cost around £43.2 million to lure the Ivorian away from the Eredivisie in January.

If the Reds continue to be interested in the midfielder after the current transfer window, Empire of the Kop understands that PSV would be open to accepting a deal of £32.3 million in the summer.

We would be incredibly shocked if no top European outfit bites at the latter figure next year given the low price.

Even so, roughly £10m more for the 24-year-old in January should be considered far from prohibitive if we are seriously interested in bringing the player to Anfield – that is, of course, if one is to put much in the way of stock in the rumour shared by Fichajes (a not entirely reliable publication) (a not entirely reliable publication).

It’s one to take with a pinch of salt for now until a further update surfaces, however we’d be silly to not explore the possibility should Sangare remain affordable midway through the campaign.

It would seem to be almost a no-brainer if the recruitment process included the possible benefit of a relationship with Arthur in the middle of the park, given our current troubles in that area.
