Reports : Liverpool Fc have reached Jude Bellingham ‘agreement’ after new talks

Liverpool FC have a verbal ‘agreement’ with Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham and he could even sign in January, according to Football Insider.

In spite of intense interest from clubs including Liverpool, the German club has made it clear that they will not sell the 19-year-old sensation this summer.

However, Liverpool has been working hard behind the scenes to have an agreement in place that might allow Bellingham to join as soon as January of next year.

Following a U-turn due to his team’s disastrous start to the new season, manager Jurgen Klopp acknowledged on Friday that he is looking to add a midfielder in the closing days of the transfer window.

Even while Liverpool has made acquiring the England star a medium-term aim and has been setting the framework for a trade for some time, Bellingham is not anticipated to be that player.

To persuade Dortmund to change its mind, it would need an enormous offer—the kind of £100m plus deal that owners Fenway Sports Group would be incredibly unlikely to approve.

Although a deal for the summer of 2023 is more plausible, the Merseysiders have talked about moving to January of the following year.

The Liverpool recruitment team has selected Bellingham as the dynamic central midfielder they need to bring their club to the next level.

Liverpool is certain they have persuaded the player to sign and have a verbal “deal” already in place after extensive discussions were done behind the scenes with the player’s camp.

Bellingham’s younger brother, the Birmingham winger Jobe Bellingham, was also signed by Dortmund, according to Football Insider, in an effort to persuade him to stay.

Jobe Bellingham and Birmingham have reached a professional agreement, and he will formally sign the contract on September 23, when he turns 17 years old.

But according to the family’s plan, he will sign up with Dortmund after gaining more first-team experience in English football.

His more well-known older brother, who is already one of the team’s key players, has a contract with the German club that expires in the summer of 2025.

Bellingham had a standout 2021–22 season, making 44 games across all competitions and contributing six goals and 14 assists.
