Reports- Ajax superstar with ‘informal contact’ from Liverpool ‘last summer’ wants Premier League move
Many World Cup players have been connected with Merseyside moves, as Liverpool supporters are aware, and it now looks that one former target is pressing for an impending move to England.
According to David Ornstein for The Athletic, “Teams from the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 are keenly monitoring Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ adamant intention to leave Ajax in January.”
‘There was informal contact with Everton’s neighbours Liverpool last summer, as well as interest from French sides over a loan. The Premier League is Kudus’ first-choice destination and operating in midfield is a key factor’.
The Ajax player impressed during his early season performance at Anfield and appeared to be a serious threat for Jurgen Klopp’s team, but his willingness to play in the centre of the pitch might be a plus for us since we are apparently looking to strengthen in that position.
The 22-year-old has performed better in more attacking positions on the field, so his desire to play in the middle of the field may not be the greatest way to bring out his full potential.
It’s no secret that our boss values footballers with a variety of skills, so having a player who can play both wings as well as a No. 8 and No. 10 would be ideal.
