One of the standout performers at the World Cup in Qatar, Sofyan Amrabat has Liverpool seriously considering signing him due to his solid midfield performances.

The agent for the Moroccan is thought to have already spoken with Jurgen Klopp, and an update on the cost of the Fiorentina player has already been given.

The 26-year-old will cost the Reds somewhere about €60m if they want to win the race for his signature, claims Fichajes (via Caught Offside).

It’s no secret that Klopp wants to improve his options in central midfield either in January or at the conclusion of the season, and Spurs and Inter Milan are both considering a move for the former Feyenoord player.

Fresh faces are definitely needed in the engine room because many of our present alternatives are on the verge of 30 and because players like Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have contracts that expire at the end of the season.

Jude Bellingham is supposedly the club’s top transfer priority, but given Amrabat’s performances while playing for Qatar and Fabinho’s decline in quality this season, a move for the latter would make a lot of sense.
