Liverpool transfer; Liverpool make £20m bid for ‘Technically gifted’ premier league Midfielder as The ‘red’s next Fabinho’

Liverpool have reportedly submitted a bid for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz and the Brazilian could be the next Fabinho in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

In an effort to solve their midfield problems before the transfer deadline, the Reds reportedly made a £20 million bid to the Birmingham-based team for Luiz.

He says that despite Luiz’s desire to switch teams, Villa is likely to demand a higher sum in accordance with their previously stated €35 million (£30 million) asking price.

He stated in full: “Liverpool have made an offer of £20 million for the midfielder, who welcome the change of team. Aston Villa play hard and look to win a little more.”

Following the defeat to Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp stated last week that he thought Liverpool needed another central midfielder.

This is because injuries to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Thiago, and Naby Keita have left the Merseyside club with few options in the center of the field.

Having a long-term heir to the Brazilian in the squad is undoubtedly not a terrible idea for Klopp, even though it is doubtful that Liverpool will need to replace Fabinho anytime soon given that the former Monaco player is still only 28.
