Liverpool ‘strike another Porto agreement’ over £12.7m talent after Luis Diaz’s success

Liverpool have reportedly obtained first rejection on Porto attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira, less than four months after completing the transfer of Luis Diaz from the Portuguese giants.

The Reds are said to have reached a deal with the Portuguese club that will give them first refusal on the 21-year-old if he looks likely to depart the Estadio do Dragao.

Liverpool have a clear eye for young talent having already moved to sign Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old is on his way to Anfield after helping Marco Silva’s Craven Cottage team win the Championship title.

But his compatriot Vieira might be next, with the Reds reportedly keen on signing the playmaker, who has six goals and 13 assists this season in the Primeira Liga.

Liverpool will now have an option to sign Vieira if Porto makes him available, according to The Daily Mirror.

Vieira’s contract is thought to include a £12.7 million release clause, indicating that a deal is very much possible if Liverpool wants it.

Interested clubs are expected to agree on performance-related add-ons as part of the deal.

Other Premier League clubs, such as West Ham and Tottenham, attempted to sign the midfielder, but Liverpool were smooth in their discussions.

They quickly agreed on a cost, and Diaz has already won two titles in his first four months in charge.

On Saturday, the Colombian was named Man of the Match after helping Liverpool defeat Chelsea 5-4 on penalties at Wembley.

The 18-year-old might be a replacement for Neco Williams, who is desired by Fulham after a successful loan spell.

Ramsay might cost up to £6 million, with Leeds also interested in signing him.

Divock Origi, who is close to joining AC Milan on a free transfer, is one of many players who could depart Liverpool this summer.

The likes of Takumi Minamino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s futures at the club are also in doubt.
