Sadio Mane Liverpool

According to latest reports, Journalist has disclosed that Liverpool ace Sadio Mane has made a choice that could see him remain at Anfield.

Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has been discussing Sadio Mane’s future amid ongoing links to Bayern Munich.

Mane appears to be set to join Bayern Munich in the coming weeks after reaching personal terms with the Bundesliga club.

Darwin Nunez, the Senegalese winger’s successor, has already been signed, and Mane’s luggage appear to be packed and he’s ready to go.

However, Bayern Munich has yet to present a bid that Liverpool will accept, and the Reds have reportedly told the Bundesliga champions that if they don’t pay up the cash, they will happily retain Mane at the club.

Mane is said to have decided that Bayern Munich is the only club he wants to join, so if they don’t pay the correct fee, he could end up staying at Anfield for another year.

Bailey spoke about Mane and the fact he’d only leave Liverpool for Bayern.

“Liverpool have told Mane and Bayern that they will keep him, they don’t have to sell him, if they have five forwards they’ll have that.

“The reports that he’s asking for £400,000-a-week are inaccurate, he’s not looking for that. He’s agreed terms with Bayern at £350,000-a-week, so he’s getting an uptake.

“As it stands there’s an impasse at the moment, and if Bayern don’t come up with the money they won’t be getting him,” Bailey said.

“Mane has decided that it’s Bayern or nothing, that’s what we’re being told, the likes of Atletico who are keen they’ve been told he wants Bayern.

“So if they don’t pay the fee, he won’t be going anywhere. I can’t envisage him not going, but Bayern will have to step up to the plate.”

Liverpool is taking a significant risk by refusing to accept a big offer from Bayern Munich.

If Mane stays at Anfield, the Reds will have no less than six outstanding senior attackers, which may sound like a nice problem to have, but it will be nearly impossible for Jurgen Klopp to rotate these six players.

As heartbreaking as it will be when Mane departs, he must do so this summer in order for Liverpool to keep a strong squad for next season.
