The 25-year-old has been added to a long list of players who could depart the club at the end of the season by the French powerhouses, who are preparing a significant overhaul this summer.

The sudden availability of Sanches has alerted the Reds, who plan to revamp their midfield section before the 2023–24 season.

Jurgen Klopp is a long-term admirer of the Portuguese talent, with the German coach urging Liverpool to sign him before he eventually moved to Paris in 2022.

Jude Bellingham was Liverpool’s top target heading into the summer transfer window, but according to sources, the Merseyside club backed out of the move over Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
