Liverpool receives massive boost to sign £42m star midfielder as Reds are in talks to beat Real Madrid

In what has been an interesting 24 hours for Reds fan, It now looks as though Liverpool have a clear run at AS Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.

According to Foot Mercato, it was reported that Liverpool “wants to beat Real Madrid at the post for Aurélien Tchouameni!”

The reports claims that “Jurgen Klopp loves” the 22-year-old and that Los Blancos would “have a hard time convincing both AS Monaco and the player financially speaking.”

That was fantastic to read and it was further verified by the Daily Mail’s Dominic King, who reported that the Frenchman is a player of interest.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp’s recently sealed a new contract extension after the manager showed a willingness to remain at the club beyond his current deal.

Journalist, Paul Joyce reports that Liverpool are interested in Aurelien Tchouameni as well as Jude Bellingham although the Englishman is unlikely to be available this summer due to Erling Haaland leaving the club.

Also, AS journalist, Sergio Santos, reports: “Tchouameni likes Madrid, but right now he is NOT a priority.

“He will only arrive if it is at a reasonable price (something that is not given now).

“In no case will Madrid enter into an off-market bid for a player who would initially arrive as a substitute.”

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti believes Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro are still vital to the club’s future and Federico Valverde, Dani Ceballos and Eduardo Camavinga are more than enough as backups.

For Liverpool, this is sensational news, as it means they will essentially remain unchallenged if they seriously pursue Tchouameni.

It will cost around £42 million to price him away from AS Monaco, not far from the fee Liverpool paid to sign Fabinho from the Ligue 1 side.
