Liverpool hasten deal to sign La Liga forward with 13 goal contributions
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Athletic Club Bilbao attacker Nico Williams.
According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool is eager to sign the 20-year-old Spanish winger and has accelerated negotiations to close the deal.
Williams has a deal with the Spanish club through the summer of 2024, and if he doesn’t sign a contract extension with them soon, Athletic Club Bilbao may feel compelled to sell him.
In the summer of 2024, they won’t want to lose one of their most promising young prospects to a free transfer.
Liverpool, meantime, is in severe need of additions, and they could use a talented young winger like Williams who will provide the team more speed and goals. The 20-year-old has contributed seven goals and six assists.

The only natural wingers at the club right now are Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah, so Jurgen Klopp has occasionally had to make do with Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez.
The addition of a specialist player will only benefit Liverpool as a team, but it is still unclear whether the Reds will be able to close the deal.
The teenage attacker would probably find it appealing to sign with a club like Liverpool, and working with a top-notch coach like Klopp can only help him develop further and realise his enormous potential.
