Liverpool can sign £26m playmaker in January on one condition
According to MundoDeportivo, Alberto Moleiro of Las Palmas is for sale in the January transfer window, and Liverpool, among other teams, are in competition for his services.
According to the Spanish news source, Moleiro is wanted by several clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund, who are all interested in taking him away from Spanish team Las Palmas.
Moleiro’s current release clause in his contract, which runs until June 2026, is £26.41 million.
If Las Palmas gets promoted to La Liga, then the attacking midfielder’s release clause will increase to £52.83 million.
García Pimienta’s side are second in the LaLiga2 table at the moment with 27 points from 15 matches, three points behind leaders Alaves.
The Spain Under-21 international attacking midfielder has given three assists in 14 LaLiga2 matches so far this season.
Liverpool are unlikely to be able to sign Alberto Moleiro from Las Palmas in the January transfer window.
With so many clubs interested in the playmaker, Las Palmas will surely not sell him in January for anything less than his release clause, especially as they are very much in the race for promotion to La Liga at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will pay €30 million (£26.41 million) for a 19-year-old who is not even playing in the top flight of Spanish football.
