Kylian Mbappé sent Liverpool transfer message after PSG Champions League exit
With PSG out of the Champions League once more, Kylian Mbappé ought to be considering the transfer message he just received from Liverpool.
It hasn’t been your normal “will they, won’t they” transfer scenario with Liverpool and Kylian Mbappé. Simply said, that’s because the majority of people think the response is obvious: they won’t.

The transfer link has continued, nevertheless. The fact that Liverpool made apparent multiple attempts to sign Mbappé is more-or-less public knowledge.
The player most recently revealed that discussions occurred before to his most recent contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain in an interview with The Telegraph.
As such, the incredible possibility has to be given some credit. And with Mbappé having just crashed out of the Champions League with PSG once again, it might be time for him to heed a recent transfer message.
Of course, Liverpool cannot be too smug about PSG’s Champions League fate, with elimination seemingly on the horizon for Jürgen Klopp’s side too. But the Parisians cannot claim to have reached three of the last five finals — the meek elimination to Bayern Munich in the early knockout rounds is the rule, not the exception.
It does not help any remaining Liverpool transfer hopes that Real Madrid, one of the few teams who can boast a better record in the Champions League, is the other suitor repeatedly linked with Mbappé.
But one way or another, it seems the French star will simply have to leave PSG before long for the good of his career.
“I want to see Kylian Mbappé at Liverpool. I think it is a perfect match and league for him. Look at what Mo Salah is achieving at the moment — he could achieve the same things.
Top clubs need top players, so I would love to see Mbappé there — but I know a lot of clubs want him.”
Salah should undoubtedly be a strong selling point to any forward wanting to kick on to the next level. Not only has the Egyptian won it all at Liverpool, he has also greatly enhanced his own personal reputation, transforming from ‘flop’ into one of the Premier League’s all-time greats.
Mbappé has certainly never been called a flop. But the longer he neglects to test himself outside of PSG, and to give himself a genuine shot at Champions League glory, the more he will be considered a wasted talent. Already, Erling Haaland appears to be wresting the generational Golden Boy moniker from him.
And so, fresh off the back of yet another Champions League exit, Mbappé must surely consider his position at PSG for the umpteenth time. When he does so, perhaps the words of Cissé will give him food for thought.
