Liverpool Chiefs are already coming up with plans on how to fill the huge gap that will be left by Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah ahead of the African Cup of Nations in January.

According to Portuguese Press Jornal de Notícias, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp views Diaz as his ‘ favorite solution’ to the problems Salah and Mane’s departures will inevitably create.

The Reds are said to be reading an official bid for the Colombian international. But they will face a tough challenge before securing the signature of the 24-year-old.

Liverpool are not the only Premier League club set to be interested in Diaz. Manchester City and Chelsea are also said to be keeping an eye on him.

Porto are rumored to let their star man leave, but only on one condition if a hefty transfer fee is paid for any interested suitor.

Liverpool will have to splash out £67m if they stand a chance of bringing Diaz to Anfield in the winter.

The Portuguese club are insisting the £67m price tag be met before he will be allowed to depart the club, as Sergio Conceicao wants the forward to remain at the club until the end of the season.

Diaz has attracted interest from top European clubs, following his heroics in the Copa American where he finished joint top scorer with six goals alongside PSG Superstar Lionel Messi.
