Despite rumors of a £42 million deal, Liverpool are not interested in signing Sporting star Matheus Nunes, according to reports.
After a great season in Portugal, the midfielder has been predicted to make a high-profile move to the Premier League this summer.

The Reds suffered a severe setback over the weekend when crucial midfielder Thiago was forced to leave the 2-2 draw with Fulham due to injury.
Additionally, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones already injured, boss Jurgen Klopp may not have many choices for the center of the field. But that doesn’t always imply that he will approach Nunes.
Liverpool seemed uninterested in a deal after news of their contacts with Nunes surfaced last month. The Athletic claims it is still the case today.
After transferring from Estoril Praia to Sporting three and a half years ago, Nunes has now made 100 appearances for the team, with seven goals and nine assists.
The 23-year-old was in outstanding form throughout the previous season and assisted his team in finishing second in the Primeira Liga.
