“I really want to play for Liverpool”France star midfielder wiling to secure a move to Liverpool
Liverpool know that their central midfield needs improvement and reports indicate that French midfield star Adrien Rabiot is willing to secure a move to Anfield.
The Daily Telegraph, had reported that Rabiot is looking to move to Premier League and can be lured for a fee as low as £15million from Juventus.
The report had earlier stated that back in February, the 27-year-old star told the Old Lady that he wants to leave the Serie A giants, who have given him the nod to depart this summer.
He reportedly wants to join the Reds because they can provide him with Champions League football.
Before moving to Juventus, he won every strong domestic championship in France multiple times (including six Ligue 1 trophies). The midfielder for Les Bleus has also helped the Bianconeri win every significant domestic championship in Italy.
He has so far made 29 appearances for the senior national team and was an important part of the group that Didier Deschamps led to victory in the UEFA Nations League last season.
His current deal with the Turin-based team expires in a year, and according to Calcio Mercato, he makes earns £116,000 per week, annually.
Jude Bellingham would be the ideal replacement for Liverpool’s aging midfield, which needs a youthful box-to-box superstar.
The Reds don’t need to sign Rabiot right now; he would be a stopgap measure. Last season, his performance was merely average. The Frenchman made 45 appearances across all leagues without scoring a single goal.
