“I love Liverpool” – Sadio Mane reacts as Bayern Munich hint they could give up on his transfer in a new message to Liverpool
If Bayern Munich pulls out of talks with Liverpool, Sadio Mane may have to find a new home.
Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern Munich’s transfer boss, has hinted that the club may pull out of talks with Liverpool’s Sadio Mane.
With a club-record deal for Darwin Nunez in the works, the Reds are already close to finding a successor for Mane, and the unexpected need to find a new buyer for Mane would be a significant shock.

In normal circumstances, individuals affiliated with Liverpool would rejoice if an interested party backed out of a bid to sign Mane. However, following the Reds’ loss in the Champions League final last month, the player reportedly expressed his wish to go, and the club has already begun the process of replacing him.
Despite having already had two bids rejected, Mane was widely anticipated to join Bayern Munich this summer. Liverpool appeared to believe they still held all the cards, with sources claiming they were ‘insulted’ by Bayern’s latest £30 million bid.
The Bavarians have a few tricks up their sleeves in addition to the £42.5 million asking price, and sports director Salihamidzic has publicly said that the club has other offers.
“Generally speaking, we’re trying to strengthen our team,” he said. “We’re working on several options in attack.
“The transfer market is not easy, it always depends on the financial possibilities of the club. I don’t want to talk about players of other clubs.”
When asked to clarify his comment on bolstering attacking options, in terms of targets other than Mane, the Bayern chief responded:
“Of course we can’t rely on one option to strengthen our attack. We must have several options.”
The striker’s contract at the Allianz Arena has one year left on it, but he has made it known in public that he wants to end his eight-year association with the club, pleading with them to respect his decision owing to his loyalty.
But, like Mane, Lewandowski’s future is uncertain, as his most likely destination, Barcelona, may find themselves priced out of a transfer.
Despite the fact that Manchester United is one of the clubs rumored to be interested in swooping in and trying their luck, Salihamidzic has addressed the matter and urged all parties to ‘cool down.’
