How Liverpool could Lineup against Arsenal without three injured key players.
Arsenal will travel to Anfield in a tough game against Liverpool for their first match after the international break.
The Gunners have not enjoyed good results in their visit to Anfield over the years, they have failed to win there since 2012 and have conceded 28 goals in their last eight matches.
Many will see this game as a tough test, for Mikel Arteta’s side, who are unbeaten in their last 8 Premier League games.
A victory for Arsenal will dismiss the reports of them having played against ‘easier team’s and a dream of a top-four finish will be taken seriously by many fans.
Having that in mind, Arsenal could use all the advantages they can get and it looks like they could have received not one, not two, but three possible boosts before the trip to Anfield.
Two Liverpool forwards have been ruled out with injuries, Roberto Firmino suffered a hamstring injury in the reds Champions league game against Atletico Madrid, before the international break.
Sadio Mane limped off in the first half of Senegal’s 1-1 draw in the world cup qualifier against Togo. He has since returned to Liverpool to conduct an X-ray to determine the extent of the injury.
Earlier Senegal’s coach Alou Cisse had insisted that the injury wasn’t as serious as first feared.
If Mane is unable to feature in the weekend game, his absence will be a boost for Arsenal, as the forward has a record of six goals in 10 matches against Mikel Arteta’s side.
It would force Klopp to give Japan international Takumi Minamino or Belgian Divock Origi a rare start in the game.
However, we should not forget their star player Mohamed Salah, who has seven goals in his last nine games against Arsenal.
Liverpool are also facing the possibility of playing without their captain Jordan for this match after the English international picked up a knock on international duty in England’s 5-0 win over Albania on Friday.
Other notable absentees include Naby Keita and James Milner due to hamstring injuries and also Harvey Elliot out for the long time with a dislocated ankle.
Curtis Jones is expected to be back from an eye injury after missing the game against West Ham United, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlin, Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho are also feet for the game.
Arsenal are likely to miss the services of Thomas Partey, who missed Ghana’s 1-0 victory over South Africa with a groin injury, in his absence Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ainsley Maitland-Niles who played against Watford are more than capable.
Liverpool potential line up vs Arsenal: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Thiago; Salah, Origi, Jota
