“He is so difficult to stop” Jamie Carragher hails the performance of Liverpool star against AC Milan.
Former Liverpool captain, Jamie Carragher has revealed that Red forward Mohamed Salah is ‘so difficult to stop’ after he helped the club defeat AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Carragher claimed that Salah is ‘playing as well as anybody’ as Liverpool came from behind to win 2-1 and secure a record-breaking six wins out of six in the group stages.
Liverpool became the first English side to have won six of six In the group stage of the European competition, as they came from behind to level the score through Salah, before the man of the moment, Divock Origi, scored another winning goal.
That’s also 11 goals in the same number of European qualifiers for Salah, who is apparently scoring in almost every game he participates in this season.
Speaking on CBS Sports on Paramount+ “That man Mo Salah,” said Carragher. “He is playing as well as anybody in world football right now. That’s his 20th goal this season.
“Oxlade-Chamberlain had a few efforts from outside of the box. He has a really good strike on him. But a great finish on that left foot (from Salah).
“He is always alive on that rebound. Really sharp. So difficult to stop. Every time he gets a chance now, you feel like he’s going to score.
“That’s 11 goals in his last 11 European games, which is a phenomenal record.”
Many questioned the inclusion of Mo Salah in Liverpool’s squad last night, with the team having qualified for the round of 16.
on the other hand AC Milan, needed the points to try and qualify for the knockout stage, which they did not, while this was insignificant for the Premier League team.
But both Salah and Sadio Mane were on the starting eleven, despite a rather difficult Premier League match against Aston Villa awaiting them on Saturday and a very busy holiday period.
