Major Steven Gerrard claim made about Jude Bellingham as Liverpool transfer links continue
Liverpool has been linked to a move for Jude Bellingham.
In light of Jude Bellingham’s ongoing transfer rumors to Liverpool, Jermaine Jenas has compared him to Steven Gerrard.
The midfielder is a figure who is highly regarded among the Liverpool decision-makers when it comes to hiring, as the ECHO revealed back in July.
But there are also rumors that Manchester City, Chelsea, and Real Madrid are interested in signing the Dortmund star.
Bellingham was the star of Monday’s 6-2 victory over Iran as England began their World Campaign.
At the Khalifa International Stadium, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka scored twice as the Three Lions easily won.
The Dortmund man and Raheem Sterling were also on target as were substitutes Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish. And speaking after the game, Jenas was quick to praise the former Birmingham City youngster.
He said: “Bellingham is a throwback, he can really do it all. He is like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard rolled into one. It’s a real bonus for Gareth Southgate to get him now in the form that he is in.”
While fellow BBC sport pundit Alan Shearer said:
“It was a complete performance from a really exciting player – it had everything, he put in the tackles, the work-rate, his passing was superb, he got his goal, it really was a special day for him.”
