FSG to change summer plans to capitalise on Liverpool chance as £58m transfer condition met
This summer, FSG is not planning any significant activities. Liverpool are well-stocked in practically every department, and while their opponents are likely to splash the cash, Jürgen Klopp’s team just requires cosmetic upgrades rather than high-value players.
That policy, though, could alter in the coming months, so FSG should keep a close eye on the market. This summer is sure to be full of exciting developments and investment opportunities.
One player for whom Liverpool could rethink their transfer policy is Aaron Ramsey, who is already debating whether or not to extend his contract with Arsenal, and after missing out on the Champions League this season, it may be the right time for Liverpool to strike.

Bukayo Saka had previously been connected with the Reds, and Klopp is said to be a huge fan of the versatile winger, who can play as a full-back as well as an offensive player on either flank. Saka, who is just 20 years old, is already an experienced England international with over 100 senior Arsenal games under his belt.
With Arsenal’s prolonged failure to compete among football’s top, Saka may be approaching a crossroads when he must contemplate his future and what is best for his career something that may take precedence over his allegiance to the club that fostered him. When he spoke of his transfer ‘condition’ in March, the teenager laid down his terms.
Saka’s contract runs out in 2024. Arsenal must accept that if he continues to procrastinate on a new contract with the Gunners, this will be the last summer in which they can receive a large amount for their academy product. Arsenal’s grip on transfer negotiations will be lost next season, with only a year left on Saka’s deal.
Given Liverpool’s aging frontline, Saka appears to be a wise addition to refresh Klopp’s options and usher in a new era at Anfield in order to secure the club’s long-term future.
Saka is valued at £58.5 million by Transfermarkt, but if FSG can get him for less than that, it would be well worth a bet, justifying a departure from the club’s existing summer transfer policy.
Saka may be the kind of enticing transfer that, like Luis Daz in January, is impossible to refuse.
