Erik Ten Hag takes final decision on his future amid links with Manchester United
Erik Ten Hag Manchester United link has hit a wall as he has taken a final decision on his future amid links with Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Ajax manager, Erik Ten Hag has insisted he will not be leaving the Dutch club to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.
The 51-year-old was tipped to replace the Norwegian, who is currently under pressure to improve the team, following their recent poor run of form.
Manchester United have lost five of their last nine games, with four of them in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are currently in the 6th position on the Premier League table with 17 points from 11 games.
According to ESPN’s Goedemorgen Oranje, Ten Hag emphasised that he wants to remain at Ajax for as long as he feels wanted by the club’s hierarchy.
When asked what he is looking for after his time at Ajax, Ten Hag replied: “I live in the present, so I find it hard to answer this.
“I always want to improve my team, and as long as I feel this motivation I want to keep going if Ajax wants that too.”
And when he was asked why he would not join Newcastle or United Ten Hag said: ‘Because I am happy at Ajax.
“I have a very good relationship with the board and I’m managing a very strong squad.”
United have been linked with former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers, but nothing substantive yet.
