‘Could take six months’ – Watch FSG send blunt Bukayo Saka transfer message amid Arsenal exit rumours
According to Kevin Campbell, Arsenal won’t be selling star forward Bukayo Saka to Manchester City or Liverpool this summer.
And the Sky Sports host is hoping that the adaptable England international for the Gunners will instead sign a new contract.
The Daily Mail, however, linked City and Jurgen Klopp’s team with Saka last month, although that was before Mohamed Salah agreed to a new three-year contract with the Reds.
But when it was suggested to Campbell, a former forward for the Arsenal, that the North London club would try to sell Saka before the end of the transfer window, he was not having it. In his remarks about Highbury Squad, he stated:
“He is already under contract. These things are not just going to get done in a couple of months.
“These things could take six months, but Arsenal are not, trust me, they are not going to sell Saka in this window. No chance. No chance.”
Following the extension of Salah’s contract and the highly publicized signing of Darwin Nunez from Benfica in a deal worth up to £85 million, it appears extremely unlikely that Saka would move to Anfield.
However, with experience on his side and what appears to be the necessary skill set to fit into Klopp’s successful system, fans will be watching the 20-year-progress old’s with a keen interest.
