The reported objective of FSG to sell the club, should a suitable buyer be found, is not likely to affect Liverpool’s transfer business, which is anticipated to go as planned.

The club’s chairman, Tom Werner, confirmed the circumstance and emphasized that “it’s business as usual” while looking for funding.

“We’re exploring a sale, but there’s no urgency, no time frame for us, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s business as usual,” the FSG chief told the Boston Globe (in quotes carried by the Liverpool Echo).

These four words should at least somewhat allay Jurgen Klopp and the club’s recruiting staff’s worries regarding the ability to pay for a possible January transfer market addition.

The Merseysiders are anticipated to make several moves in the forthcoming window to bolster a midfield unit that has struggled to perform to its full potential this season.

Given that Jude Bellingham is expected to move next year, the extent of any deal done during the winter season is still up for discussion.
