Darwin Nunez sends a honest message of apology Liverpool fans for showing his ‘ugly attitude’ after he was sent off for headbutting Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen
Following his dismissal on Monday, Darwin Nunez has apologized to the Liverpool supporters.
During Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, a Uruguayan attacker was sent off.
In an argument off the field, Nunez struck defender Joachim Andersen with his head.

Darwin Nunez, who joined Liverpool for a record-breaking £85 million, has expressed regret and said he will learn from his mistakes after receiving a straight red card on Monday for headbutting a Crystal Palace player.
On his home debut for the Reds, the 23-year-old attacker received his marching orders after an altercation with Joachim Andersen at Anfield.
Nunez now faces a three-game suspension for aggressive behavior that occurred in the second half of the game as Liverpool attempted to recover from a 1-0 deficit.
Nunez will now serve a three-game suspension, which will provide serious difficulties for Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, given both Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota are presently sidelined with injuries.
The Uruguayan international chose to apologize on social media after receiving a lot of criticism following the incident.
‘I am aware of the ugly attitude I had. I’m here to learn from my mistakes and it won’t happen again,’ he wrote in Spanish on Twitter.
‘Apologies to Liverpool all. I’ll be back,’ he added in a separate tweet in English alongside a picture of him passing Klopp to head down the tunnel.
Boss Klopp has already made clear his disappointment by telling Sky Sports: ‘Darwin knows [he let his teammates down]. I will talk to him. It was not a reaction we want to see.
‘He knows he will be challenged in this way, centre-halves will do that, but it is not a reaction we want.
‘But we will use the time productively. We will use the suspension for physical work to make him strong – not a punishment but to make him stronger.’
