According to reports in Portugal, Liverpool is prepared to initiate formal talks with Sporting regarding the acquisition of Matheus Nunes.
Following the signings of Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, and Calvin Ramsay, it is said that the Reds now view their summer transfer business as complete.
However, it appears there may still be one more new arrival before the start of the upcoming Premier League season.

In order to finally address the gap left behind by Gini Wijnaldum, who left Liverpool for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer last summer, Liverpool are still open to the idea of bringing in a new midfielder.
Although it had been anticipated that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would leave, the England international is now expected to stay at Anfield for the remainder of his contract year.
Liverpool have reportedly entered the race for Nunes, one of the hottest commodities in European football right now, according to Correio da Manha in Portugal.
The player, who will represent Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, has recently drawn interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.
According to sources, Matheus Nunes, who has his sights set on Liverpool, has been advised by Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim to wait for a major club to sign him.
According to the daily source, Liverpool is prepared to begin formal discussions and has made the 23-year-old a priority target.
Sporting are seeking roughly £45 million, but the player’s contract does have a £51 million release clause.
A few days ago, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Liverpool had made a cheeky request for Jude Bellingham. Now comes the shocking development.
Sporting reportedly wants £40 million plus £5 million in add-ons before agreeing to sell Nunes.
Sporting and Wolves were recently in negotiations, but the player seems opposed to moving to Molineux.
Instead, in the run-up to the World Cup, he supposedly said he was willing to stay with Sporting for another season.
In recent months, Pep Guardiola has also expressed his adoration for the midfielder, complimenting him directly after Manchester City’s Champions League victory over Sporting.
“Sporting are a fantastic team, they are the champions of Portugal, which have a very strong league, with Porto and Benfica, they change the ball well, they have fast and intelligent players.
“I would say that Matheus Nunes is one of the best players in the world today,” the Spaniard said.
