“Unbelievably strong” – (watch) Liverpool may have identified the next Luis Díaz as Jurgen Klopp backs the youngster to shine at Anfield
A player who has been compared to Luis Dáz is about to catch Liverpool’s attention. He may be giving Jürgen Klopp an audition while playing in the ideal setting.
Few people in England will have heard of the new Leeds recruit Luis Sinisterra, much less seen him play, unless they are die-hard Eredivise supporters.
Raphinha, who is expected to leave Elland Road this summer, will likely be replaced by the Colombian, who joined the Yorkshire side in a £21.5 million deal from Feynoord.

Recently, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Barcelona have all been mentioned as potential destinations for Raphinha.
However, with Liverpool no longer in the running to sign him, the battle is probably going to be between Barcelona and Chelsea.
Leeds made the decision to take action and recruited Sinisterra to lessen the impact of the Brazilian’s eventual departure.
You might be wondering how any of this relates to Liverpool. Sinisterra has been compared to his countrymen and fellow Colombian Luis Daz, which is good news for the future.
“We are players who like to have the ball, we score goals,” Sinisterra said of the comparisons with Díaz.
“I have a good relationship with him, we congratulate each other, I am very happy for him.”
Sinisterra had a strong season last year, similar to Dáz. He scored 23 goals and dished out 14 assists in 49 games for Feyenoord, helping them finish third in the Eredivise and second in the first Europa Conference League, losing 1-0 to Roma.
Four of Sinisterra’s six goals in Europe came in the knockout stages, helping Feyenoord reach their first European final in 20 years. Sinisterra also scored when it mattered.
It’s time for him to take a giant stride forward and show the Premier League that his transfer to Leeds was well worth it.
Sinisterra may be giving a trial for a possible Liverpool move under Jesse Marsch, whether or not he is aware of it.
Given his affiliation with the Red Bull brands in Salzburg and Leipzig, Marsch’s brand of football is a reflection of Jürgen Klopp’s. Marsch has already expressed her admiration for Klopp, saying:
“The way his [Klopp’s] teams play, the passion that he has for the game, the passion that his team has for the game, tactically what he tries to achieve.
“There are a lot of things that I really respect about how he runs his team.”
Klopp, in turn, repaid the compliment to Marsch after a Champions League game against Salzburg in 2019.
“I couldn’t have more respect for what Salzburg are doing here, the way they play football,” Klopp said.
“Salzburg were unbelievably strong, especially in the first half but we were too. We should have scored more goals. Massive respect for Jesse and what they did.”
Liverpool might be in a good position to sign Sinisterra if he succeeds at Leeds under Marsch over the course of the next year or two.
It makes little sense to sign a player in that position right now because Mohamed Salah will occupy that spot for the next three years, but that might change in a couple of years.
