Trent Alexander-Arnold showers praise on departing Liverpool star ahead of final premier league match against Wolves
Trent Alexander-Arnold has praised departed Liverpool teammate Divock Origi ahead of their final Premier League match against Wolves on Sunday.
The Belgian’s time with the Merseysiders, which he first joined in 2014, is coming to an end.
Origi was never able to secure a starting position in the side. However, under Jurgen Klopp, he established himself as a key replacement, scoring crucial goals off the bench over the years.

In fact, after being replaced midway through the second half, Origi scored a 94th-minute winner against Wolves in the first meeting between the two clubs this season.
“I expect Div to get a special farewell. He will forever be a Liverpool legend. It’s been a pure joy to work with him.”
Alexander-Arnold has stated that Origi is a club icon as the Belgian prepares for his final outing for the Reds. Liverpoolfc.com quoted the 23-year-old as saying:
“What a guy, what a man, what a player. Definitely over the course of the stint the manager has been in, he has definitely had the most iconic moments, that will live in the memory of all the fans.
“He will go down in history. He has been a part of special, special moments with this club, scored special goals and he has always been there for the team.”
“He is always putting in performances, always trying his best, always working his hardest. It’ll be sad to see him leave but he is more than deserving of a big send-off and a big farewell on Sunday or in Paris.”
Origi’s biggest moments include scoring a brace in Liverpool’s historic 4-0 Champions League semi-final thrashing of Barcelona. This was followed by a late goal in the 2-0 final triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Belgian played 175 times for Liverpool, scoring 41 goals and assisting 18 times while also winning six trophies, including the Premier League title.
