Predicted Liverpool XI vs Newcastle United: team news, Injury update, Kickoff time.
Liverpool will host relegation-threatened Newcastle for the Thursday Premier League clash at Anfield as they look to close the gap on league leaders Manchester City.
This looks like an easy 3 points in the bag for klopp’s side, it is a game of the most prolific attack in the league against the worst defence and it’s difficult to look past anything other than an away win.
The Reds could welcome back Roberto Firmino to the squad for the midweek clash.
The Brazilian has been out since early November, due to a hamstring injury and is close to returning to action.
However, Curtis Jones, Nat Phillips, and Harvey Elliott will play no part for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they remain out with long-term issues.
There are no fresh injury worries for Liverpool as confirmed by Jurgen Klopp.
“Bobby trained completely normal,” said Klopp ahead of the game.
“He’s in contention. Curtis did the first session partially with the team. He’s not far off. Getting two players back of this caliber is good news.
“I really don’t like to talk about it because always when I say something like, ‘It looks really good, then I get a call, but it looks OK at the moment. No new injuries.”
Liverpool will be without Divock Origi, who remains sidelined.
Liverpool predicted XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Keita, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Jota, Mane.
Date:Thursday, December 16, 2021.
kick-off time: 8 pm GMT
