“What will happen if I don’t win Ballon d’Or,” reveals Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, has insisted there will be “no problem” if he never wins a Ballon d’Or during his career.
Salah was in fine form for the Premier League club as he netted 31 goals and six assists in all competitions for the Reds in the 2020/21 season.
The 29-year-old however declared he is the “best player in the world.”
Salah finished seventh in this year Ballon d’Or award after the results were announced last Monday.
“At the end of the day it’s people’s opinions, but in my mind, I’m the best player in the world, that’s what I say to myself.
“I can’t say that I don’t want to win the Ballon d’Or or FIFA ’s The Best, of course, I want to win either of them.
“But if I don’t win either of them, there is no problem. Everything I want, I usually get.
“I know that I will win either of them later, I’m not worried,” he told Egyptian broadcaster MBC Masr TV.
