Watch Sadio mane picks unexpected new jersey number at Bayern Munich
Following his highprofile transfer from Liverpool, Sadio Mane has decided which squad number he will wear for Bayern Munich.
After six incredibly successful seasons with the Reds, the 30-year-old attacker moved to Bayern Munich for £35 million, according to BBC Sport.
He excelled there in every position Jurgen Klopp requested him to play in the front three.

Mane will wear the number 17 shirt, which on the surface seems to be a wholly arbitrary choice, the Bundesliga winners confirmed over the weekend on Twitter.
Leroy Sane, a winger, currently wears the number 10, which Mane wore when playing for Liverpool. According to Bavarian Football Works, Sane’s father allegedly mentioned that the former Manchester City attacker could be willing to give Mane his shirt number, but nothing ever came of it.
The Senegalese international’s selection put a stop to reports that he may select either number 7 or number 9, which are occupied by Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski, respectively.
This summer, both of these players have been connected to moves away from the Allianz Arena.
Michael Cuisance, who left Bayern Munich in January to sign with Italian team Venezia, turns over the number 17 jersey to Sadio Mane.
Before moving to Bayern Munich, Sadio Mane feels he accomplished everything he could at Liverpool.
Sadio Mane, who joined Liverpool in 2016 after leaving Southampton, has won every major team award available to him and now obviously feels it’s time for a new challenge.
The forward mentioned in his farewell interview:
“From the first day I came to the club, I spoke to the boss when I was in Southampton and I think at that time we were not even in the Champions League.
He called me and I said, ‘For sure.’ I just decided in my heart that I am coming to Liverpool because that is where I see myself and for me it was the right time and the right club to achieve everything.
“So, I can say of course we won a lot and I spent a great, great time there. An unbelievable time at Liverpool, we won a lot. Like I always say, my life is always [about a] challenge and when it came I said to the club that I want to leave, I want to go somewhere else to see a new challenge.
“It is not anything else, it is just a challenge because for me I want to always be challenging myself to get better and better.”
