Amad Diallo has scored his first goal on loan at Rangers, five minutes into his debut for the Scottish Premiership champions.
Diallo joined Manchester United last year with high hopes, scoring an important goal in the Europa League against AC Milan during one of the few appearances last season but failing to break into the squad.
He was denied the opportunity to go on loan to Feyenoord last summer due to injury. On Thursday it was announced he’d be joining Rangers on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old was put straight into the starting lineup In Saturday afternoon, as the Scottish Premiership league leaders tackled Ross County.
It took Diallo just five minutes to make an impact, as the Ivory Coast winger managed to slot home from close range, following good work from Joe Aribo.
Diallo is fans’ favorite and a huge prospect for the future, but fans will have been slightly disappointed that a player who costs £37 million hasn’t been given too many opportunities.
