Watch Jurgen Klopp approves £42m transfer as Liverpool ‘ready’ to submit bid for 24-year-old AC Milan superstar as injuries continue to mount up for Jurgen Klopp
Due to a little injury crisis in the middle of the field, Liverpool is reportedly preparing a move for AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.
The Reds are prepared to make a bid for the Algerian international despite Jurgen Klopp’s declaration that he is not looking to add any other reinforcements in the midfield area, according to CMW (via Liverpool World).
In yesterday’s sad opening-day tie with Fulham, Thiago Alcantara suffered a hamstring injury, and Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita were all out with illnesses and injuries.

After the game, Klopp gave an update on our No. 6’s injury and made a suggestion that the Spain international might be out for a long period.
Due to Liverpool’s subpar squad depth at the moment, our German manager may now be tempted to make a move, and it is rumored that Bennacer is a player he admires.
According to the article, the 24-year-old has a £42 million release clause, but the Reds would want to negotiate a price closer to £34 million.
Last season, the San Siro team’s defensive midfielder made 40 appearances, recording two goals and one assist in all competitions.
Last season, he played in both of Liverpool’s Champions League group stage matches, where he was on the losing team each time.
Even while it seems doubtful that there will be any more signings this summer, Klopp may have little choice but to once again enter the market if the injuries keep rolling in.
