Watch £69m Transfer Target makes his final decision between joining man united and Liverpool FC

‘They are both big premier league clubs that I will like to join but I prefer…’  £69m Transfer Target makes his final decision between joining man united and Liverpool FC

Ajax winger Antony, a transfer target for Manchester United, is reportedly being courted by Liverpool.

The 22-year-old was outstanding in the Eredivisie last season, and since Erik ten Hag’s transfer to Old Trafford, rumours of a reunion with the Dutchman have persisted.

However, according to reports from Brazil via Yahoo Esportes (via the Metro), Liverpool has spoken with Ajax and Antony’s agency about a potential transfer this summer.

Additionally, they claim that despite Ajax’s £69 million asking price, Liverpool’s interest is “strong” and that a smaller offer of about £10 million may be sufficient to reach an understanding with the Eredivisie team.

As they prepared to live without Sadio Mane, who was headed to Bayern Munich, Liverpool acted quickly in the transfer market this summer by buying Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

These rumours could be an attempt to exert pressure on Manchester United because it appears doubtful that they will recruit another striker after acquiring Nunez and Fabio Carvalho from Fulham and Mohamed Salah signing a new long-term contract.

United called claims that they made an offer of £51 million for Antony’s “nonsense” earlier this month.

Anthony is reportedly eager to rejoin Erik Ten Hag at United, but Ajax holds the upper hand because they have previously sold Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich and Sebastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund, putting them in a solid financial position.

However, United were able to persuade Ajax to sell Lisandro Martinez, and a £46 million deal has already been reached for the Argentinean.

Arsenal was also interested in Martinez, but the defender made it obvious that he would rather sign with United.
