In Erik ten Hag’s second game as manager, Manchester United was humiliated 4-0 by Brentford, posting one of the worst finishes in Premier League history for the team.
United has already dropped both of its Premier League games under Ten Hag, but the team reached new lows when a superb Brentford team exploded into a four-goal lead inside of the first 34 minutes.

Ben Mee’s goal at the far post from a corner kick put Brentford up 3-0 inside of a half-hour. Five minutes later, Ivan Toney set up Bryan Mbeumo for a goal past David De Gea.
