There is no denying that Jurgen Klopp was over the moon to meet Cody Gakpo, his newest January addition, at the AXA training facility.

The 23-year-old forward was enthusiastically embraced by the German, who then greeted him with a “glad to meet you” and invited him inside to see Julian Ward, a transfer expert.

It’s a great start for the Reds’ business before the January transfer window opens, and hopefully it won’t be the last.
