Steve McManaman picks between Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title
Former Real Madrid and Liverpool midfielder Steve McManaman has backed Manchester City to win the Premier League title ahead of Liverpool.
During his playing career, the 50-year-old represented both sides and currently works as a broadcaster and pundit.
The former England international expressed his thoughts on the championship race on BBC Radio 5 Live, saying:

“Yes, I think Liverpool will go and beat Wolves because they are not in the greatest of form, and they will be on a high and the stadium will be rocking.”
“But I just can’t see Manchester City doing anything but winning themselves, to be very honest.”
“I think Liverpool will do the business and then roll onto the Champions League next week, but I can’t see past (Manchester City).”
The Premier League title race is down to the wire, with the top two teams still in contention on the final day. City now leads Aston Villa by one point ahead of their visit to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, May 22.
The Reds are just a point behind them and will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield, with one eye on the events in Manchester.
A week later, they had the UEFA Champions League final versus Real Madrid to look forward to.
