Sadio Mane discusses when he will make a decision on his future at Liverpool

Sadio Mane has said that he will make his decision about his future with Liverpool following the Champions League final.

The Senegalese international’s contract, like that of the other members of Liverpool’s famous front three, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, is slated to expire in 2023.

Mane has now won every major domestic and European club competition with the Reds since joining for £34 million from Southampton in 2016 – and he will be looking to win the Champions League for the second time on Saturday.

Mane is expected to start against Real Madrid in Paris, where he has 120 goals and 48 assists in 268 appearances for the club.

This season, Liverpool has already won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, and only lost out on the Premier League to Manchester City on the final day of the season.

Despite Liverpool’s continued success under Jurgen Klopp, Mane has yet to commit his long-term future to the club, with reports linking him with Bayern Munich in recent weeks.

But, speaking to Sky Sports today ahead of Liverpool’s effort to win their seventh European Cup, he indicated that he will divulge additional information after the match against Real Madrid.

Mane said: “For sure it will be special to win it and make it seven and this question (regarding his future) I will answer after the Champions League. I’m going to answer after the Champions League.”
