Robert Lewandowski give conditions to join Liverpool as Poland manager backs him to shine at Anfield
Czeslaw Michniewicz, the manager of Poland’s national team, has stated that if Robert Lewandowski departs Bayern Munich, he would prefer him to join Liverpool.
Lewandowski has already stated his desire to leave Bayern after an outstanding eight-year stint with the German giants, during which he won numerous trophies, including eight consecutive Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2020.
The 33-year-old said at a press conference ahead of his country’s UEFA Nations League match against Wales:

‘What we know for sure at the moment is that my era in Bayern Munich is over.
‘I don’t see any possibility to continue my career in this club, based on what we could see in the last couple of weeks. Bayern are a serious club so I hope they won’t keep me just because they can.’
Chelsea and Barcelona have expressed interest in Lewandowski, but Bayern Munich are keen to keep hold of their star striker, who has one year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena, reportedly rejecting a €25 million (£21.3 million) offer from the Catalan club despite the player having agreed personal terms with the Catalan club.
At the same press conference, Michniewicz threw another team’s name into the ring when asked about the transfer controversy, saying:
‘I’d like to see Lewandowski at Liverpool since I’m a supporter of the club.’
A move to Anfield is possible, as Lewandowski is familiar with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp from their time together at Borussia Dortmund, when they won two league titles and advanced to the 2013 Champions League final.
They were defeated by Bayern Munich on that occasion, and Lewandowski made the controversial move to Munich on a free transfer a year later, scoring 344 goals in 375 games, despite maintaining a strong connection with Klopp.
With Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah entering the final year of their Liverpool contracts, Klopp may be on the lookout for a new forward this summer. The former is reportedly seeking a move away, with Bayern Munich tipped to sign the Senegalese star.
