‘Pure quality’ – Roy Keane impressed by midfield duo Liverpool want to sign in the summer
Roy Keane has identified Liverpool transfer targets; Gavi and Pedri, as ‘pure quality’, as he told ITV Sport.
The Spanish internationals took part in Spain’s recent 2-1 win over Albania in a friendly, as Keane thinks Luis Enrique’s side will be ‘right in the mix’ at Qatar 2022.

Whilst both Pedri and Gavi are shining bright on the highly-pressured Barcelona stage that is trying to pick itself up from the canvas.
It has been reported that Liverpool are trying to lure either midfielder to Anfield, according to the Mirror and Spanish journalist, Gerard Romero.
However, when Keane was asked about Spain’s midfield of Gavi and Pedri, heading into the World Cup in Qatar, he said:
“That’s not bad,” smiled Keane. “They’ll be in the mix at the World Cup.
“Pure quality, the midfielders, where it’s such an important part of the pitch. Fantastic quality.”
Barcelona are starting to regain their rythm and are back being strong contenders in the La Liga race, even though there is still a long way to go, with Gavi and Pedri running the show from the middle of the park.
Liverpool may well lurk in the background hoping to see if they can lure the talented midfield duo to the Premier League.
But, it feels like both Gavi and Pedri, are the ones to take the centre stage at the Nou Camp, like Andres Iniesta and Xavi himself did for many, many years
