Mohamed Salah finally agrees on a new Liverpool contract for the rest of his career

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is now close to agreeing a new contract that will see him remain at Anfield until the end of his career.

According to reports, the 29-year-old Egypt international has raised hopes at Anfield to end the drawn-out saga over his new deal, which will give Reds manager Jurgen Klopp a huge boost.

After Salah rejected new terms which would have seen him earning £400,000 a week Liverpool’s owners were fearing the worst and that he would allow his current contract to run down making him a free agent in the summer of 2023.

With the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG ready to pounce on any opportunity to sign him in the summer.

The former Roma forward appreciates the affection for him on Merseyside that was shown again in Liverpool this week, comforting him that Egypt missed the World Cup final, and is willing to compromise on his initial demands of being one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

This simply means that an extra 12 months on the three years which have been discussed, would now see him play out the best remaining years of his career with the club he joined in the summer of 2017.

Many Liverpool fans will be delighted with this news and it will give the Reds a boost in their quest for the quadruple.

Salah has always insisted he enjoys his life at Liverpool but now wanted to be recognized as one of the world’s best players replicated with a salary to match.
