Liverpool transfer: Liverpool willing to sign “the next Neymar” in January after Shakhtar Donetsk reveals transfer fee

Liverpool FC will concentrate on the midfield during the upcoming two transfer windows given the recent show of injuries and deteriorating performance levels in the area.

The wandering gazes of Julian Ward and company, however, couldn’t help but turn to Ukraine and Shakhtar Donetsk, where previously associated talent Mykhaylo Mudryk is currently shining.

The Reds might have pondered the idea of signing such a talent in the near future, possibly even with a price tag in the £30–40 million range.

However, it appears very doubtful that the Merseysiders will make an offer anytime soon given that Carlo Nicolini, the team’s sports director, values the forward closer to £86.3m.

“Is €40m enough to buy him? We do not speak to these figures,” the club official told Calciomercato (via TEAMtalk).

“Not even for €50m, we don’t even call the president to communicate the offer. We value Mudryk more than Antony of Manchester United, who cost €100m.”

At this point in the season, an attacker with an asking price over £80 million will almost probably prove to be unattainable, but that shouldn’t prevent the club from completing a deal in the middle of the season.
