The 19-year-old English star and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is apparently in contact with Liverpool.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that Premier League powerhouse Liverpool are considering a deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham and have spoken to Bellingham’s family about it.
One of the top midfield prospects in Europe right now, the young Englishman is already a regular at the Westfalenstadion.
Bellingham would be a dynamic addition to any team in modern football because of his capacity to run the show in midfield and also bomb forward when necessary. Liverpool is one of his potential suitors.
Since taking over the Merseyside giants in 2015, Jurgen Klopp has changed the club’s fortunes.
He has achieved all the important victories anticipated of him and is currently rebuilding Liverpool FC’s aging core.
Both the defense and the attack have benefited with the additions of Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Fabio Carvalho, and Calvin Ramsay.
However, the midfield begs to differ and will eventually require care.
Key players Thiago Alcantara, James Milner, and Jordan Henderson are not getting any younger.
The same can be said of Fabinho, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita at Liverpool have not lived up to expectations.
Curtis Jones’ progress has slowed down a bit, leaving Klopp with work to do in the park’s center.
Liverpool may have found the proper man in Bellingham to fill the hole and grow into their midfield captain for the ensuing ten years.
The 19-year-old has more promise than most players, and there is every reason to think that working with a boss like Klopp will bring out the best in him.
A few weeks ago, the Reds had transfer negotiations with the player and Borussia Dortmund, but the German powerhouse turned them down.
This summer, Dortmund is thought to have made the 19-year-old English international untouchable, therefore it is unclear whether Liverpool will be able to sway them with a counteroffer.
To Liverpool’s credit, they don’t seem to be discouraged by Dortmund’s stance and seem to be pressing forward.
They still have plenty of time to make a case for themselves during this summer’s transfer window.
Another option is for Liverpool to approach Dortmund about a deal for the summer of 2019, repeating the strategy they used to sign Keita from RB Leipzig in 2017.
The Reds have previously demonstrated their willingness to spend big money on quality, and in Bellingham, they may find a player who meets that criteria.
