Liverpool are interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans and are said to be willing to offer €40m to sign the Belgian after talks last summer over personal terms that were no problem for the Reds.

The 24-year-old was a target in the summer for the Reds but nothing materialized and he stayed at the King Power Stadium as Liverpool failed to sign a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Tielemans has everything that a midfielder needs to succeed under Klopp and his ability to fit in either a defensive or attacking midfielder would be another feather in Liverpool’s hat.
