Liverpool Player Ratings as Robertson shines and Divock Origi’s class; Liverpool 2-0 Everton
Liverpool Player Ratings as Robertson shines and Divock Origi’s class;
Liverpool 2-0 Everton
Goals: Robertson 62′, Origi 85′
Alisson (out of 10) – 8
this was a largely quiet afternoon for Alisson as the reds dominated the game.
Got away with one punched clearance after the break and then nervously fired into touch.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7
One of Alexander-Arnold’s poorest performance of the season, it’s hard to think of any that top it.
Improved in the second half, though.
Joel Matip – 7
Matip retained his place at the heart of the defence, and while he was reliable off the ball, there was a lack of usual quality on it.
Virgil van Dijk – 7
He dealt with aerial duels when he needed to and was typically calm, but arguably allowed Abdoulaye Doucoure to be played in too easily in the first half.
Andy Robertson – 9 (Man of the Match)
Robertson was magnificent against Man United in midweek and this was another big performance from the left-back.
The leftback headed home the header.
Fabinho – 7
Fabinho continued in the No.6 role he masters, but this wasn’t his most vintage showing of the season.
He also improved in the second 45.
Thiago – 7
He displayed an average performance in the match.

Naby Keita – 6
Keita wasn’t at his best, as he slacked in possession and not offering any thrust, as the game passed him by for long periods.
Mohamed Salah – 7
After getting back to goalscoring ways against United, Salah was Liverpool’s biggest attacking threat, he was excellent by most players’ standards.
Diogo Jota – 6
Jota was used as a winger by Jurgen Klopp, but he failed to offer anything close to what Luis Diaz has been of late.
Sadio Mane – 6
Retained in his new central attacking role.
He curled over from distance in Liverpool’s first meaningful attempt of the game.
Substitutes;
Luis Diaz (on for Keita, 60′) – 8
Luis Diaz was very astonishing and was looking dangerous and he produced one outrageous first touch.
Divock Origi (on for Mane, 60′) – 9
HE SCORED EVERTON AGAIN!
He was crucial in the opener, getting into an area deep inside the box, then heads home the second. What a player.
More goals this season than he’s had starts.
Jordan Henderson (on for Jota, 82′) – 7
Captain Henderson had a good match.
Subs not used: Kelleher, Konate, Gomez, Tsimikas, Milner, Jones
