Liverpool makes history following 6-4 aggregate win over Benfica

Liverpool failed to win on the night as the game ended 3-3 but they advance to the semi-final of the Champions League with a 6-4 aggregate score.

As per Opta Joe, for the first time in the club’s history, Liverpool have reached the semi-final of the League Cup, FA Cup and European Cup/Champions League in the same season.

The Reds went on to win the League Cup and a cup treble is still on the cards as the FA Cup semi against Manchester City will take place this Sunday.

The search for the quadruple is also on as Liverpool are just one point behind Premier League leaders Man City with seven league games to go.
