Liverpool Fc can upset Europe’s best again with £50m Erling Haaland transfer alternative.

As the big guns will reportedly fight it out for Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé this summer, Liverpool could target Christopher Nkunku instead.

Realistically, there is little chance of Liverpool being able to compete for either deal, but that may end up becoming a blessing in disguise.

Liverpool have never been the type of club that buys ready-made players of Haaland and Mbappe. FSG have always encouraged the club to go beyond those names in the market and to target players who are more underappreciated.

Liverpool can operate in the shadows to secure the perfect alternative to Haaland and Mbappé in Christopher Nkunku.

Similar to Haaland and Mbappé, Nkunku has been in sensational form this season. He has contributed to 28 goals for RB Leipzig in all competitions in 26 games, not far from Mbappe’s 33, and slightly more than Haaland’s 25.

Although while Haaland and Mbappé will likely demand huge wages and big financial costs, Nkunku would be available for a relatively low transfer fee considering he is valued at £50m according to Transfer markt, and that he belongs to a club in RB Leipzig, who have rarely demanded highly huge prices, even for their prized assets.

Not to mention Nkunku might just be the best fit for Liverpool in terms of playing style out of the three options.
