The Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is allegedly a target for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Both Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing the 27-year-old Slovakian defender, and they may soon make the player a contract offer, per a report from Team talk.

“Inter still believe that they will persuade him to stay, but he will very soon be able to field those pre-contract bids,” Graeme Bailey remarked to Team talk.

“Paris Saint-Germain were always and still are, but now all the Premier League top clubs are interested – the chance to land one of the world’s best defenders at 27, does not come along too often.

“So even someone like Manchester City, who don’t have a new centre-half at the top of their wanted list, are ready to put an offer to him. But so are Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle.

“The battle for Skriniar will be fascinating if he decides to leave.”

Skriniar’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and when the transfer market opens the following month, he will be able to sign a pre-contract with international teams.

The player and Inter Milan have been attempting to reach an agreement on a new contract, but they have not yet been successful.

The 27-year-old is already one of Europe’s top defenders, and in the upcoming campaigns, he has a chance to become a player of the highest caliber.

He would be useful to Tottenham as well as Liverpool.

Skriniar would be a great addition if Liverpool needed to replace Joel Matip. Matip has struggled with ongoing injury issues, and since his return, Joe Gomez appears to be a shell of the player he once was.
