Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp was captured taking a dig at Manchester United ahead of friendly in Bangkok
Ahead of the preseason match against Manchester United on Tuesday, Liverpool have landed in Bangkok, and it didn’t take Jurgen Klopp long to have the media in fits of laughter.
Shortly after the Reds arrived in Asia, the German manager participated in a press conference at Don Muang airport. The 55-year-old was joined by captain Jordan Henderson and vice-captain James Milner.
In preparation for their match at the Rajamangala National Stadium next week, hundreds of supporters showed up at the airport to welcome Liverpool today and United yesterday.
Instead of answering questions from the media, the German boss chose to address the large audience present at the conference by asking: “First question I have…did it look like this yesterday when Manchester was here as well?” he joked.
A few cries of “no, no” could be heard in response.

Henderson and Milner both laughed as they got ready to answer press questions, showing that they found the former Borussia Dortmund manager’s remarks amusing.
Man United and Liverpool, two of the most successful English football clubs of all time, have sizable international fan bases, as was evident from the scenes outside the airport.
Not minding the circumstance, it’s always good to taste victory over your fierce rivals, even if the preseason results don’t really matter.
It’s funny to see Klopp make a little dig at United, so let’s hope the players can deliver on Tuesday.
